THIS SOFTPAQ IS ESSENTIAL FOR THE COMPAQ CONTURA AERO!!!
IT CREATES A SETUP AND DIAGNOSTIC PARTITION ON THE HARDDISK, THAT GIVES YOU ACCESS TO THE BIOS-CONFIGURATION, TO SYSTEM-INFORMATION AND TO SELF-TESTS OF ALL HARDWARE.
IT HAS TO BE INSTALLED BEFORE ANY OTHER SOFTWARE. IT HAS TO BE INSTALLED ON A CLEAN HARDDISK, NO PARTITIONS ARE ALLOWED.
WHEN INSTALLED YOU GET ACCESS TO SETUP BY TYPING "F10" AFTER BOOTING WHILE THE CURSOR IS BLINKING IN THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER OF THE SCREEN.
ALTERNATIVELY YOU CAN RUN THE SETUP AND DIAGNOSTICS SOFTWARE FROM A FLOPPY.

Although perhaps newer, older or originally not intended for the Aero, you might want to try these softpaqs because of localizations, extra features or other purposes.
Although SP2373.EXE-SP2364.EXE sound newer from their names, they are older in the version. The Localization refers only to the diagnostics software. The language of SETUP can in all versions be selected via a dropdown menu.
